Hospitality Exchange Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), Austria

Spring  2013

Austria

Program Full

Program Description:

The Rosen College of Hospitality Management (RCHM) exchange program with the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) in Austria is designed for English-speaking students from all over the world who are committed to their academic success. The specialized tourism management courses are based on the experience of one of Austria's best known tourist destinations. In addition to the regular course work, the MCI program includes an orientation week with guided excursions and an optional German language course. Innsbruck is located in the heart of Europe, with an excellent opportunity to travel to other cities that are a few hours away by train, such as Munich, Milan, Venice, Prague, Vienna and Zurich. The city is surrounded by high mountains that present a breathtaking panorama that contrasts with its historic old town. The city has over 800 years of history that are imprinted on its gothic walkways. It is known worldwide as the site for the Winter Olympics in 1964 and 1976. Presently, it is a regional center for business, as well as sports and tourism, with a population of around 130,000.
