The UCF College of Business Administration student exchange with the Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS) in Barcelona, Spain is designed to expose UCF students to professional and academic practices outside of the US. IQS, an Institute with more than 100 years of history, is part of the Ramon Llull University. IQS is comprised of two Faculties: Escuela Técnica Superior IQS (IQS Technical College) and Facultad de Economía IQS (IQS Faculty of Economics). The goal of the Faculty of Economics, which houses the Business Administration program, is “to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to turn our graduates into competent and honest entrepreneurs, leaders and managers.”
IQS is located in Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain, behind Madrid. The city, with a population of more than 1.6 million, is known for its art, culture, museums, and football team, among many other facets. Barcelona is bounded by the Mediterranean to the east and the Serra de Collserola mountain range to the west.
