UCF administered study abroad programs are designed to complement UCF educational programs, as well as fit with the university's academic and administrative policies and processes. However, UCF programs are not your only options.
After you have performed a self-assessment you should look at all options available to you and choose the one that fits best overall with your circumstances, interests and purposes for studying abroad.
There are numerous NON-UCF options for studying abroad. They will require some additional effort to avoid surprises, ensure that your credits are transferable, and to get the most out of the experience. Some of your options may impose limits in the availability of financial aid or scholarships. It is your responsibility to look into these issues before committing to a particular program.
To simplify the process, non-UCF options can be divided into 4 categories: Florida institutions, US institutions outside of Florida, direct enrollment in universities outside the US, and non-academic vendors.
