Program Description:

The UCF International Business student exchange with Tilburg University in The Netherlands, provides the opportunity for UCF students to experience business education and professional practice in the Netherlands and Europe. Tilburg University aims their academic programs towards contributing to a better society and the development of solutions to social problems. Tilburg's Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is highly regarded. Its programs are accredited by the Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO), whose focus is educational quality assurance and achievement of the stated learning outcomes. The programs of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration are also accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. Tilburg University has recently enhanced their International Business Administration program to address the reality of global and transnational business transactions. The coursework now focuses more deeply on understanding the globalizing world of international business and preparing students to succeed in their future careers anywhere in the world. A strong international focus has been added to coursework in accounting, finance, marketing, organization and management. Overall, Tilburg students are expected to have a solid academic foundation, as well to translate their knowledge into practice.

Tilburg is located in the southern Netherlands, in an area with a population of around 200,000 inhabitants and over 7,000 companies. The city is strategically located major close to other well known cities like Amsterdam, Brussels, and Cologne. The city has a rich cultural life and provides plenty of entertainment and leisure activities including museums, galleries, cinemas, concerts hall and sporting events. This program is suitable for economics and management majors.

Minimum Requirements:
  • UCF GPA: 3.0 
  • Must be a pre-business or business major
  • Business Common Program Prerequisites complete
  • Must be in good standing (academic, conduct and financial) with UCF
  • Have attended UCF for at least two full semesters prior to the beginning of the semester abroad
  • Must be registered full-time while participating in the exchange
  • Must have at least one semester left to graduate, upon returning from your semester abroad
