The UCF College of Business Administration (COBA) students have the opportunity to participate in an exchange program with the Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS) in Barcelona, Spain. IQS, an Institute with more than 100 years of history, is part of the Ramon Llull University. IQS is comprised of two Faculties: Escuela Técnica Superior IQS (IQS Technical College) and Facultad de Economía IQS (IQS Faculty of Economics). The Faculty of Economics is a “top centre specializing in Business Administration, prominent at both the undergraduate and graduate level, applying a comprehensive methodology that equips students to create, lead and manage industrial and technology based organizations.”
IQS is located in Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain, behind Madrid. The city, with a population of more than 1.6 million, is known for its art, culture, museums, and football team, among many other facets. Barcelona is bounded by the Mediterranean to the east and the Serra de Collserola mountain range to the west.
- UCF GPA: 3.0
- Must be a pre-business or business major
- Business Common Program Prerequisites complete
- Must be in good standing (academic, conduct and financial) with UCF
- Have attended UCF for at least two full semesters prior to the beginning of the semester abroad
- Must be registered full-time while participating in the exchange
- Must have at least one semester left to graduate, upon returning from your semester abroad
