The UCF College of Sciences student exchange at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands is designed to expose UCF students to professional and academic practices outside of the US. In addition, participants in this exchange are expected to develop skills to adapt to a different academic and geographical environment. The University of Groningen was founded in 1641 and provides high quality education and research in a broad range of disciplines, is internationally oriented, works actively with business partners, public institutions and the government, as well as, ranks among the best universities in Europe.
Groningen is a historically rich city with a thriving cultural scene. It is an important urban center for music, arts, education, and business. Groningen is known for its large university student population and being accessible by bicycle.
- GPA: 3.0 Cumulative
- Must be in good standing (academic, conduct and financial) with UCF
- Must be registered full time while participating in the exchange
- Must be a junior or senior at the time of exchange
- Must have at least one semester left to graduate, upon returning from your semester abroad

You can apply online for this program. The application includes the submittal of a brief essay (500 words) that clearly describes your academic and personal goals, as well as how this program would further them. We recommend you work on your essay outside the application environment and then paste it on the appropriate field.
Selected participants must meet with their Academic Advisor to discuss and register for the appropriate coursework. Coursework completed through the program may count as equivalent UCF course credit and/or as restricted or general elective credit.
All applications will be reviewed by the Political Science Department and selected applicants will be notified of how to follow up. Assessment of the applications will be based on the academic qualifications of the applicant, as well as fit with the courses that the applicant has taken. Academic Dates based on fall 2015: August 31 - January 29, 2017. The exam period is January 11 - January 29, 2017. Exams dates are fixed and students must be present.
