The UCF College of Business has designed a unique International Business Minor that integrates 15 credits of study abroad into the curriculum. The College has partnered with Global Semesters & the University of Nicosia to provide students with opportunities to complete the study abroad component in Cyprus. This program aims to deepen the students’ understanding of economic and business topics through innovative academic programs. This program is designed for students who would like to specialize in specific business areas such as Accounting, Sports Management, Real Estate, HR Management, and Entrepreneurship. Launch your international career through our International Business Minor!
All programs are offered at the University of Nicosia, with appropriate coursework in International Business.
Program Structure and Assessment:
Students select 1 Cyprus Foundation Course, and then 4 other courses related to international business in their selected concentration. All courses must be pre-approved by the Associate Director of International Programs at the College of Business.
Cyprus Foundation Course (Choose 1):
Cyprus and the EU, Cyprus History and Culture, Cyprus in the World, Cyprus Taxation, or Cyprus Property Law
Specialized Business Concentrations (Choose 4 Classes in the Concentration):
Accounting; Sports Management; Real Estate; Human Resource Management; Energy, Oil and Gas Management; Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Finance and Economics; Information Systems and Social Media; Management; Marketing Communications; Public Administration; Hospitality Management (including Casino Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Spa and Wellness Centre Management); Management Information Systems; Marketing; Tourism, Leisure and Events Management

Housing is guaranteed in the price of the program. For more details on housing options and applicable security deposits please refer to the housing information on Global Semesters’ website. The following services are also included in the program fee: tuition, local support staff, program-organized field trips, cell phone, medical insurance, airport pick-up, orientation, and activities. Costs not included are airfare, meals, personal expenses, and any home university fees.
Eligibility and Requirements:
The COBA study abroad programs are competitive and space is limited. To be considered, students must:
- Be a declared pre-business or business major
- International Business Minor (2015 catalog year or later)
- Have attended UCF for at least one full semester prior to the beginning of the term abroad
- UCF GPA: 3.0
UCF Administration Fee: $350 (charged to your student account)
