Program Description:
IE University was founded in 1997; however, some elements of the university, such as the IE Business School, have existed since 1973. The university incorporates a number of academic disciplines and offers a variety of degree programs, all of which are offered in both English and Spanish. IE University is a private university currently housing more than 2,000 students.
The IE University, Student Services Office offers international students assistance in acquiring visas, accommodations, and medical insurance. IE University offers an on campus medical service during the week and a 24hr emergency phone service. There are multiple free sporting activities available for student participation, including Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, and Swimming.
The
city of Madrid is the capital city of the Kingdom of Spain and a major logistic hub in Southern Europe. With a population of roughly 3.3 million, Madrid is the third largest city in the European Union. The
city of Segovia is about 25min (by high-speed rail) north of Madrid, just under halfway between Madrid and Valladolid. UNESCA has named Segovia a World Heritage Site and much of the city dates back hundreds of years. The university itself is housed in a beautifully renovated medieval campus.
Minimum Requirements:
- UCF GPA: 3.0
- Must be a pre-business or business major
- Business Common Program Prerequisites complete
- Must be in good standing (academic, conduct and financial) with UCF
- Have attended UCF for at least two full semesters prior to the beginning of the semester abroad
- Must be registered full-time while participating in the exchange
- Must have at least one semester left to graduate, upon returning from your semester abroad
