Country Introduction:

France is located in Western Europe with several overseas territories and islands. It is the largest country in the European Union and covers 211,209 sq. miles. France possesses a wide variety of lanscapes, from the Alps mountain ranges in the south-east to the coastal plains in the north and west. France is internationally recognized for its rich cultural traditions and art. It is home to many famous artists including Éduouard Manet, Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste-Renoir, and Alexandre Cabanel, among many others. France is also well known for it's food, wine, cheese, bread, desserts, and pastries. Some popular dishes are Quiche, Beef Bourguignon, Excargot, and Crêpes.
