Program Description:

The UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science student exchange at University of Technology Compiegne (UTC) takes place in Compiegne, France. UTC was established in 1972 as an experimental university for technological engineering. It has since been used as a model for other universities in France in the cities of Troyes (UTT) and Belfort-Montbéliard (UTBM) and abroad in China (Shanghai) and Chile (Vina del Mar). The total enrollment at UTC is about 4,450 students. UTC remains at the forefront of innovation and in close relation with industrial realities by training its engineering students through internships, staying in contact with its alumni and developing research partnerships with industry.

UTC is located near the Imperial Castle, numerous historical monuments and one of Europe’s most beautiful forests. The city's inhabitants and the students take advantage of this particular environment which is ideal for sports such as rowing, bicycling and trekking (1,000 kilometers of paths in the forest). Compiègne is a city of 60,000 inhabitants and is approximately 45 minutes from Paris by train and 30 minutes from Charles de Gaulle International Airport.

We recommend you work on your essay outside the application environment and then paste it on the appropriate field.

Selected participants must meet with their Academic Advisor to discuss and register for the appropriate coursework. Coursework completed through the program may count as equivalent UCF course credit and/or as restricted or general elective credit.

All applications will be reviewed by the UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science and selected applicants will be notified of how to follow up. Assessment of the applications will be based on the academic qualifications of the applicant, as well as fit with the courses that the applicant has taken.
