Program Description:

The College of Business Administration has partnered with WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, allowing students the opportunity to study at the European Union's largest educational institution for business and economics, business law, and social sciences. This summer program aims to deepen the students’ understanding of economic and business topics through innovative teaching methods and company site visits. By living and working together in an intercultural students group during an intensive business program, students have ample opportunities to interact with peers from around the world, build long-lasting friendships, and widen their knowledge of global business practices.

Program Structure and Assessment:

The academic program is three weeks in duration, from July 4 to July 22, 2016. Students should arrive on July 3 and depart on July 23. All classes are taught in English and include professional site visits to local companies. This is an intensive international business program taught by a team of experienced lecturers from WU and partner universities hailing from the entire globe. The program consists of two intensive courses, which are taught consecutively over the course of 3 weeks, each course lasting seven days.

Vienna, Austria:

WU opened a brand new campus in October 2013, right beside the picturesque Prater Park. The City of Vienna is not only rich in history and culture, but it has also been voted the city with the highest quality of living according to the Mercer survey for the 5th consecutive time. Lying in the heart of Europe, Austria is a small alpine nation that is a gateway between East and West in Europe and a central hub for travel and commerce.

Accommodation and Costs:

Students are accommodated in a student residence hall off campus along with the other international students from the program. There is Internet access in the residence hall, and breakfast and lunch is provided on lecture days. The program fee also covers tuition, a public transportation pass for Vienna during the program, course materials, company site visits, and use of WU’s library. Costs not included are airfare, personal expenses, all dinners, breakfast and lunch on non-lecture days, insurance, passport fees, and home university fees and costs.
