  • Identify and discuss meanings in relationship to the context of the conversation or text, including non-verbal clues
  • Communicate with local, native speakers inside and outside of the classroom in the target language

The French Language and Culture Program will be hosted by L’Université Catholique de Paris, France.
Students will be tested for their language level prior to beginning the program and be assigned to a class accordingly. Classrooms will have a combination of students of the same level from different areas all over the world that are learning French as a second language.  Language professors from the L’Université Catholique de Paris will only speak French in the classroom; maximizing the students’ potential to learn the language more quickly.
Students will receive a syllabus from the instructor on the first day of classes. Participants will be evaluated by a combination of weekly quizzes, homework, oral presentations and final exams.
Students will travel to Paris, France for four weeks of instruction. While in France, students are expected to speak in French at all times, remain engaged in the program’s experiences, and take full advantage of the French culture.  Student’s grades will be affected if they don’t respect the French only rule at all times.
