CCSA: Scotland City & Highlands
June 23, 2017 --July 08, 2017
Priority Deadline: February 10th, 2017
Final Deadline: February 24th, 2017
Small and independent, Scotland holds a unique place in the history of British Isles. CCSA's 2017 Scottish program combines city and country as it provides students with a variety of two-week classes that explore various aspects of Scotland's romantic past and dynamic present. Participants will experience Scotland's two great cities –Edinburgh and lively Glasgow – and gain a richer understanding of Scotland's distinctive geography and culture in the beautiful Highlands.
The planned schedule includes spending six full days in Edinburgh. The group will then spend three days in the Scottish Highlands, before arriving in Glasgow for five full days. Urban accommodations will be in university residence halls with en-suite twin rooms, while hotels with en-suite twin rooms will be used during the Highlands journey.
Participants will reside in en suite twin rooms in Chancellor's Court at University of Edinburgh's Pollack Halls and en suite singles at Glasgow Caledonian University. En suite twin hotel rooms will be used during the Scottish Highlands excursion.
The following courses are offered on this CCSA program. For more information regarding academic content of individual courses, visit our website or email faculty at the address listed below each course description.
Before applying for any course, please make note of course prerequisites, which must be completed, or waived by the course instructor, prior to the program's departure date. By combining this intensive study abroad experience with directed study activities preceding and/or following the travel portion of the program, students may earn three to six semester hours of college credit.
June 23, 2017 – July 08, 2017
