Salzburg Internship

Program Description:

The UCF Political Science Department has designed a study abroad internship program to complement our comparative politics and international relations focused majors.

The Summer Internship Program, hosted by Salzburg College, is both an academic and applied learning program. Students complete two courses during Summer Sessions I & II at Salzburg College, followed by six weeks of immersion in the their full-time internship. Students are required to take one German language course, the course "The European Experience," as well participate in special internship placement preparation meetings. Prior German language knowledge is not required. Salzburg College works closely with qualified students before their arrival and during their first weeks in Salzburg to select an internship placement that best fits each individual student's personal, language, and academic needs.

The internship placements vary depending on your academic and professional focus.  Salzburg College works at length with you to determine a placement that meets your needs and expectations.Summer internship students are expected to enroll in two academic courses as well as the internship for a total of 9 US credit hours.

Program Courses:
  • The European Experience: History, Politics, Society and Culture
  • German Language (GER 1120C or GER 1121C or GER 2200 or GER 2201) per Modern Languages approval
